A Commute with Character

At Theory, your morning walk or ride to the train is a breeze. The NoMa-Gallaudet U Metro station is just 0.4 miles away—a flat, easy 8-10 minute route, depending on the exact path you take through the storefronts and eateries near Union Market.

Along the way, you can pop into Toastique for a gourmet toast or cold-pressed juice on your way. Or, you might head past La Cosecha and Café Unido, pick up a breakfast sandwich at Egg Yaki, or delicious baguette at Bread Alley. Trader Joe's grocery store is also just around the corner.

Wide, well-lit sidewalks are surrounded by active, modern residential buildings, giving you a safe, comfortable, and energized environment to start (or end) to your workday.

Seamless Connectivity: The Red Line and Beyond

Once you arrive at the NoMa-Gallaudet U station, you are plugged directly into the WMATA Red Line, which acts as your high-speed key to the rest of the District.

The station connects you effortlessly to major hubs in both directions:

  • Heading South/West (Downtown DC & Montgomery County): You are just one quick stop away from Union Station (about a 2-minute ride), giving you instant access to Amtrak, MARC trains, and the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Ride just a few stops further (about 5–7 minutes total) to hit Gallery Place-Chinatown or Metro Center, allowing you to transfer seamlessly to the Yellow, Green, Orange, Blue, or Silver lines. Continuing on this direction takes you through Northwest DC and all the way up to Bethesda and Rockville.

  • Heading North/East (Upper NE DC & Maryland): If you're heading the opposite direction, the Red Line takes you straight through Northeast DC neighborhoods like Brookland (CUA) and Takoma, all the way up to Silver Spring and Glenmont.

Whether you're commuting to an office downtown, catching a train out of the city, or just heading out for dinner, the neighborhood's infrastructure is built to get you there in minutes.
