Theory's Design-Forward Rooftop Lounge

Indoor rooftop lounge bar area at Theory featuring a curved marble-topped bar with brass canopy lighting, modern barstools, colorful geometric tile flooring, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city and rooftop terrace.
Bold Design, Open Views, and Easy Flow

The indoor rooftop lounge at Theory offers an inviting mix of color, light, and clean-lined design. Surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows, the space opens to city views that extend across NoMa and beyond, creating a bright, open atmosphere for residents to gather or unwind.

The lounge combines mid-century and contemporary influences with a palette of rust, olive, navy, and brass. Velvet and textured fabrics add warmth against sleek surfaces of marble, wood, and glass. The patterned mosaic tile underfoot ties the seating areas, bar, and dining space together with a cohesive, geometric rhythm.

Curved sofas, lounge chairs, and low tables define several distinct seating areas arranged for both small groups and casual conversation. The furnishings are substantial but comfortable, with sculptural forms and layered patterns that keep the space visually grounded.

Bar and Entertainment Areas

A large central bar features a ribbed wood base, stone countertop, and brass canopy with pendant lighting. Bar stools line one side, while the opposite side faces an open lounge area centered around a wall-mounted TV—ideal for game nights or social events.

An adjacent glass-walled dining room includes an oval marble table with rust-colored chairs and a curated art wall. A sculptural chandelier and ceiling mirror accent reinforce the warm tones while reflecting daylight from the windows.

Connection to the Outdoors

Exterior doors lead directly from the lounge to the rooftop terrace and pool area. Outside, residents can relax on the furnished deck surrounded by planters and skyline views of Union Market, NoMa, and beyond, seamlessly extending the indoor experience. Designed for flexibility, this inspired space is comfortable for everyday use yet polished enough for private gatherings, with fantastic, panoramic views that tie it all together.
